EDCI 790 - Student Teaching/Internship
Student teaching option (6 credits, 15-week course); all licensure course work, exams and foreign language requirements must be completed prior to student teaching. Internship may also be completed by teaching for one full year overseas in an accredited school as an ESOL teacher. However, Peace Corps Fellows must complete their internship or teach for one year in the U.S.

Master's Degree Course Work*
All other course work must be completed prior to taking EDCI 521 and EDCI 777.
EDCI 521 - Curriculum Development for Language Learners (prerequisites EDCI 516, 519) – summer in class
EDCI 777 - Research to Practice. This course must be taken last; students should be teaching at this point. It begins online March 1 as a summer course.
*A Master’s degree in ESOL in the FAST TRAIN program requires completion of both licensure course work (24 credit hours) plus additional Master’s degree course work (6 credit hours) for a total of 30 credit hours.
