Programs of Study
FAST TRAIN Programs are specifically designed for prospective teachers and educators who are working abroad or who plan on going overseas to teach and want a license and/or Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction or additional training in certain areas. FAST TRAIN offers:
- Licensure programs in Elementary Education and English as a Second Language and a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction
- Peace Corps Fellows and Master's International Programs that lead to licensure and/or master’
- Online Special Education Certificate for those who need to enhance their abilities in the area of special needs
- Course work for an International Baccalaureate® (IB) Teacher Award Level I in conjunction with the Elementary Education licensure program (unconditionally approved by IB)
- Course work for a 15-credit Certificate in Advanced IB Studies that can lead to an IB Teacher Award Level I (unconditionally approved by IB) and course work for an optional master’s degree through the Advanced Studies in Teaching and Learning Program (also approved by IB; the master’s degree can lead to an IB Teacher Award Level II)
