What Does It Cost?

As a state institution, we are required to have an in-state/out-of-state differential for tuition rates. Therefore, non-Virginia students MUST pay an additional $75 per course than Virginia residents, even in contract-type cohort programs such as FAST TRAIN. The chart below indicates the current rates for tuition payment. Tuition rates are subject to change.

Please note that this increase still leaves FAST TRAIN non-resident students paying much less than the average GMU non-resident student. Refer to the domicile office website for details about determining your Virginia domicile status.

Please check the academic calendar for tuition due dates.  Please note: If payment is late, there is a $125 late payment fee. After you register, even if your student account is not yet showing a balance due, you can go ahead and pay your tuition despite the zero balance. FAST TRAIN students will pay tuition directly to their student account via Patriot Web: Please see student accounts for payment options. The preferred payment method at Mason is by credit card.
