Transportation
Public transportation is available on-campus using the Fairfax City CUE bus service. The city's CUE bus system not only provides regularly scheduled, low-cost service to George Mason University and to shopping centers and other locations within the City of Fairfax, but also serves as a feeder network to the Vienna/Fairfax-GMU Metrorail Station (click here for the Metro website).
Fare on the CUE system is 50¢. GMU students with a valid ID ride free. There are handicapped-accessible buses on every route. Exact change is required. Buses accept dollar bills, but do not make change.
Tickets are sold in books of 10 for $5; one ticket is valid for a single ride on a CUE bus. For information on CUE bus schedules, call 703.385.7859 or email transportation@fairfaxva.gov.
