Students have six years to complete a Master’s degree at George Mason University. The six year time period begins at the point the student is first admitted into the graduate program. So for example, those students who started the program in the summer of 2001 will need to graduate by the spring of 2007 (not the summer of 2007). Those who started in the spring of 2007 will need to graduate by the fall of 2013, and so forth. GMU counts the six year period beginning with the first semester that a student started the program and ending with the last semester of the sixth year. There are no exceptions to this policy unless there has been a medical or family emergency. Click here to interact with the graduation calculator. Note: Calculator best used in Internet Explorer 6.0 and higher or Firefox. Requires java script to be enabled. |
